VM AI ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by VM AI.

This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile application VM AI (the "App") and its associated services. By accessing or using our App, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering for an account, expressing an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, or otherwise contacting us. The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • Name - To personalize your experience and address you properly
  • Email Address - To create and secure your account, send important notifications, and provide customer support
  • Phone Number - For account verification and security purposes
  • Password - To secure your account (stored in encrypted form)

AI Voice Call Data

When you use the AI-powered voice call features in the App (such as AI agents for support or other interactions), we collect and process voice/audio inputs, call audio recordings, real-time transcripts, call metadata (e.g., duration, timestamps), and related interaction data. This data is necessary to enable the AI call functionality.

Payment Information

For users who choose to subscribe to our premium services through monthly subscriptions via Google Play In-App Purchase, we do not directly collect or store your payment information. All payment transactions are processed through Google Play Store, and we only receive confirmation of your subscription status and duration.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below:

  • To facilitate account creation and login process
  • To provide and maintain the App's functionality, including AI-powered voice calls
  • To manage your account and requests
  • To send administrative information to you, such as changes to our terms, conditions, and policies
  • To protect our Services, including fraud monitoring and prevention
  • To enable user-to-user communications with your consent
  • To fulfill and manage your subscriptions and payments made through the App
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users
  • To process and generate responses in AI voice calls by transmitting necessary data to our third-party AI service provider

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Sharing with Third-Party AI Service Provider

To provide the AI-powered voice call features, we share certain personal data — including voice/audio inputs, call audio, transcripts, and call metadata — with our third-party AI service provider, Retell AI Inc. ("Retell AI"). This data is sent to enable real-time AI processing, voice agent responses, and call functionality.

Retell AI processes this data on our behalf and in accordance with strict security standards, including SOC 2 Type 1 & Type 2 compliance, HIPAA alignment (where applicable), GDPR compliance, encryption in transit and at rest, and optional PII redaction features to minimize exposure of sensitive information. We require Retell AI to provide the same or equivalent level of data protection as outlined in this policy.

You will be prompted for explicit consent before any such data is shared with Retell AI for the first time (or as required). If you do not consent, AI voice call features may be limited or unavailable.

Other Disclosures

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. The only exceptions are:

  • Service Providers: Like Retell AI (as described above) or other trusted partners who assist in operating the App, provided they agree to keep the information confidential and use it only for the specified purposes.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred, but we will provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process, including data transmitted to third-party providers like Retell AI. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.

5. Data Retention

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have certain rights regarding your personal information. You can:

  • Access and Update your account information through the App settings
  • Delete Your Account by contacting us at the email provided below
  • Opt-out of marketing communications by following the unsubscribe link in our emails

7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

VM AI offers monthly subscriptions through Google Play In-App Purchase. When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Google Play Store, and we only receive information about your subscription status (active, canceled, expired) and the duration of your subscription. We do not have access to your payment details, which are handled securely by Google.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions through your Google Play Store account settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
